Billionaire Investor Ray Dalio Thinks Crypto Could Get Outlawed

Dalio thinks even possession of Bitcoin could get outlawed under a set of circumstances.

I literally had a good laugh watching Ray Dalio talking about something he clearly has no clue about on Yahoo Finance. Apparently the guy believes governments can ban even the possession of Bitcoin, and it's no surprise after all, since 90 seconds into the broadcast it's already more than obvious that he is not really what you would call a tech person.

Personally, I enjoyed the video. It serves as evidence of what I've been saying in literally all of my posts over the last couple of months: it's still early in the game. Even super-rich folks like Dalio who have been killing the money business for decades don't seem to realize what crypto really is. Will be interesting to see Dalio's reaction when he finds out he can interact with the Bitcoin blockchain without needing an internet connection.

Every country treasures its monopoly on controlling the supply and demand. They don’t want other monies to be operating or competing, because things can get out of control. So I think that it would be very likely that you will have it under a certain set of circumstances outlawed the way gold was outlawed.

Lmao, good one, Ray. So I'm guessing the monopolies you are referring to might as well ban sunlight too, and make it illegal for the Sun to send free energy our way. I'm sure that would work. I don't see a reason why not. They could also push for laws that prohibit keeping secrets. That way we would all have to let the government know what they can't prove we do know anyway. But we would have to do that. By law. Doesn't make sense right? I know, Ray.

Don't visit the place just because I told you, especially given that you clearly don't know anything about computers. Just do your own research, and once you are done, please explain to me why anyone can access all sorts of illegal products and services over there.
Hint: you can't ban cryptography.

Dalio pointed out that India’s government is currently exploring outlawing bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies altogether. “We have to see what that means,” the investor added.

I see where you're going with this, you legend. You're basically hinting that a potential ban could actually cause demand to just go away. Like it's proven to be the case with illegal drugs, right? One moment you ban them and POOF, they are gone. The people just don't seek them anymore. Which explains why hundreds of billions of dollars are being spent on illegal drugs worldwide every year. LMFAO.
