Big news, Bitcoin, Ethereum and most alts have all fallen 10-25%. However, there is still large amounts (billions of US dollars) trading in and out of the markets. So is this the end of the large bull run we have had lately, or just a bit of a pull back before the next big run up.
Long term, I have no doubt, that we will continue to see increasing mainstream and retail interest in crypto currencies, as they have cutting edge technology and cutting edge people with first rate businesses and business cases.
However, with COVID-19 and the world in and out of lockdown, there will continue to be rises and falls as market sentiment changes, and adapts to the news, just like stocks, bonds and commodities.
They say the best strategy, is to take some profits with each big rise, and then to buy back in when there are decent falls. Never try to time the top or bottom of the market.
And, don't worry, crypto is here to stay. Plus as it gets used more and more, and interest continues to grow, it will provide both a sustainable source of income through staking, lending and borrowing, running nodes and mining.
Enjoy the rollercoaster that is crypto!
