The European division of the American bitcoin exchange Bittrex has announced the upcoming launch of its own exchange token.

According to a short message on Twitter, the listing of the bittrex Global exchange token will take place in June.

The Liechtenstein-based exchange does not provide additional details. However, in response to one of the comments, representatives of the platform clarified that the token will not be available to US residents.

The Block draws attention to the fact that over the past year, Bittrex's market share has been steadily declining. At the moment, it is only 1%, although at the beginning of 2019, this figure was more than 3.5%.

Larry Cermak, head of the Block's research Department, noted that both Bittrex and Poloniex attribute the loss of their positions to problems with regulation in the US. However, he believes that although part of this plays a role, the loss of the market was more a result of incompetence and increased competition.

Bittrex launched The bittrex Global platform last October. It has taken over the service of international clients. Bittrex International, which previously worked with them, has closed down.

In March 2020, Bittrex Global added support for trading pairs with the Euro (EUR).
