#TallyHoWallet - 3 Features That Excite Me

By LocoSocioCrypto | LocoSocioCrypto | 13 Jul 2022

With the recent #TallyHoWallet contest underway as of today, I thought I would take a deep dive into the project. Here are 3 intriguing things which stood out to me as being worth getting excited about:

Ledger Support

As the old adage goes, "not your keys, not your coins". By having ledger support, TallyHo makes it easier to get your crypto into the ultimate safe haven - cold storage. While this feature does not currently appear to be available to Firefox users, they have confirmed that Chrome and Safari support is a go.

This is an excellent feature for a hot wallet to have, as it allows a user to communicate seamlessly between their hot and cold storage. One major way they hope to differ their ledger support compared to other competitors is their use of WebUSB. This hopes to function more effectively than other technology, such as WebHID.

An Active Blog

I'll admit - I'm a sucker for a well written blog (speaking of which, please follow mine here). Browsing through TallyHo's blog reveals a ton of well written articles covering topics such as Web3, markets, and a variety of other crypto related topics as well. I'm a big fan of companies that seek to actively educate their clients, and TallyHo clearly intends to keep their clients informed and educated.

TallyHo also regularly provides updates on key features, upcoming projects within their ecosystem, and any news that relates to TallyHo. This is excellent as it provides users with a steady stream of up to date and relevant information affecting their wallet of choice.

Swap Capability

One of the features I enjoy most about my hardware wallet is the ability to swap tokens with relative ease. Since my crypto is already held securely, I've always felt slightly more comfortable swapping from storage, rather than on an exchange. This capability's of TallyHo will be an additional positive feature for those looking for this operability.

TallyHo claims these transactions can be done at half of the cost compared to MetaMask, and that best of all - all fees go straight back into the community. Until the DAO is released, these will be held in a community multisig for safe keeping.

Conclusion

TallyHo appears to have a lot of really neat and interesting features which could make it a solid option for those looking for a good Web3 wallet. You can check out more about them here, and follow their blog here.
