Cos sometimes music is the best healer;
"Wide open wide - loose
The Mistake was made
Love ... slipped from my lips
Dripped down my chin
And landed in his lap, and
Us became
Nous
Now me non clairvoyant and in love
Made the coochie easy and the obvious invisible
The rain was falling and I couldn't see the
Season changing and the vibe
Slipping off its axis
Our beautiful melody because wildly Staccato
The - rain - was - falling - and - I - could - not see -
That - I - was - to - be - ploughed - and - sown - fertilized - and - left- to - drown - in his - sunny - afternoon...
Cumulus clouds... 84 degrees... Melody... "
Been having a wee singing and (sort of - as much as my knee will allow it) dancing session this evening ... Weird energy... Old ghosts and decisions that need to be made... This song has always been a favourite and although not word for word, resonates... Jill Scott, Love Rain... Mimed by moi :-)
Jouissance; a French word meaning eternal joy and happiness. Inertia; a state of emptiness and nothingness. Is there a space in-between those points or are they just different realms? The nihilist in me says that Jouissance does not exist, but the romantic in me (which keeps me moving forward) says that nihilism is often just the fear of the pursuit of joy... Am I having an existential crisis? Perhaps... Or perhaps that's just a fancy way of saying a mid life crisis :-) Makes me think of Satre's Being and Nothingness, because what I seek right now is so quintessentially human, to create meaning somehow... And yea, maybe that involves making, or arriving at uncomfortable decisions.
How does that tie into the song? Haha... I think I'll keep that to myself :-)
