FUCK DONALD TRUMP; BIDEN HARRIS, SET TO M.A.G.A 🇺🇸☮️👍🏽✌🏾

Been watching every blow by blow these last few days...on tender hooks... My kids been too... so we celebrated by dancing to a very apt song, featuring the late and great Nipsey Hussle.

So many facts, figures, fuckery and statistics; 20% of Black men, 9% of Black women, 58% of white men and 55% of white women in America, who seemingly decided that racism wasn't a deal-breaker...and tried to vote the man beast in. But you didn't get your way...

Haha! Fuck Donald Trump and all of yall... I don't even live in America but I'm embarrassed on your behalf! Fuck Donald Trump and behold...a new dawn awaits... Keep up the fight though, cos winning is only the beginning... Trump was not the problem, the fact that it was so hard to get him out is...IE he is the manifestation of all that is wrong in society.

When I looked at the list of celebrities who voted Trump and those who voted Biden, it was not surprising. You take a natural liking to some celebrities and others a natural repulsion from... Lil Wayne; Black rapper who earlier this year made the comment that not only does racism no longer exist but that those who suffer police Brutality only have themselves to blame and felt people should stop blaming the police, ideas of white supremacy or systemic racism... He is a classic example of a man continuing the slave masters work by being so cut off from what it means to be Black, from Black communication, community, from collectiveness because, he's done alright, right?. It's no wonder he felt no shame posing in a photo with DT. Am glad his girlfriend publicly dumped him the next day.

The up shot is that although yes, Trump has lost the game. America has a new president! The divisions within American society will not be healed that easily. The margin was too narrow and Trump has done an awful lot of damage in this last 4 years. The reality is that no, he didn't create racists, he simply validated them and on top of that, has uncovered a sizable group of Black Americans for whom 'the struggle' is not real, it's not a shared experience, it is individual. As long as they are ok, right now, that's all that matters. Until one of their relatives gets shot randomly for being Black, or is unable to assimilate effectively into white society; doesn't get that job/promotion... I'm rambling but what I mean by that is, I know that as a Black woman, training to be a teacher, which is a very white dominated world, I'm not special. I'm not more capable of being a teacher than so many other Black folk out there in my community and I see what the problem are. What they have been in terms of me getting here and what they will be in regards to me succeeding. If I dropped my 'colour' and political beliefs, undoubtedly my journey would be smoother and my trajectory further (within academia) But why would I do that? To feather my own nest? No, that's not the point of me going into teaching. Yes I want a better job but more than that I want to make a difference in the world and I believe I can do that, I feel strong enough to try.

People that are only interested in making a difference in their own lives will be more open to being hood winked into systems that ultimately oppress them but want to use them, for box ticking purposes. If Lil Wayne thought for one moment that DT actually respected him, as a man and would endeavour to ensure his protection and freedom, he is even more stupid than I initially thought. Because if Lil Wayne got mistaken for a criminal, and the arrest went as hideously wrong as we have seen in just too many situations stateside, what do we think Trumpie would say? Would he defend Lil Wayne's right to be treated freely, not type cast as an aggressor because he is Black and agree the police had been racist, or would he support and protect HIS interests?

America is still founded on racism and the fight still continues. But for tonight... I think everyone can just kick back and celebrate, or reflect, if you were on the other side.

FDT!
