21 is a Savage! When I first heard he was dating Amber Rose I thought to myself this guy knows what's up, Amber is kind of special. But to be honest I haven't paid much attention to his career. For those that don't know, the Atlanta rapper made a duet album with Drake and is a certified superstar in his own right. I read about his personal life and discovered he lived the life of a street soldier before becoming a successful artist. Apparently he got shot six times on his twenty first birthday. Sounds like a reason to become fascinated with that number.

I really enjoyed this album. Nothing complicated production wise. Just a whole lot of bass, with a whole lot of tough talk on top. 15 tracks and 50mins of straight gutter rap. Redrum is my fav track because the intro is epic, the sampling is creative and 21's flow is tight. It's the kind of track that made me fall in love with Hip-Hop in the first place.

Savage has worked with some of the biggest names of his generation in the past and continued that on this release featuring: Travis Scott; Metro Boomin and Young Thug. Stars from other genres appear like Doja Cat and Burna Boy who help to add diversity to 21's Southern rap style. Did you know he was born in London? East London to be exact.
