Gemini Advanced, Google’s newest language model, did not get the praise that Google was expecting and it managed to get mixed reviews from early users of its recently launched language model. When compared with its competitor, OpenAI’s GPT-4, many users were not particularly happy with its consistency regarding logic. Task execution was also a shortfall experienced by the users. However, there is some praise regarding Gemini’s advanced emotional reasoning and response style.
Some of the shortcomings noticed by the users were:
- Gemini Advanced had problems with information interpretation. It was also spitting out statements that were nonsensical, raising concerns about the model’s capabilities.
- Gemini Advanced displayed its limitations regarding image understanding when it was fed images.
- MIDI file creation features remains available as of yet
- The AI model struggled with tasks of a complex nature.
- Some features are lacking in Gemini Advanced, which are otherwise present in competitors ai models.
All is not bad with the Gemini Advanced. Several users pointed out its features that resonated well with the audience. Users were particularly happy with the human-like responses of the model. Those human-like emotional responses were considerably better than those of GPT-4.
Users were also particularly happy with the detailed response of Gemini Advanced. Due to this model being in its early stages, users are hopeful that with time, the inefficiencies of the model will be taken care of and further improvements will be implemented based on user’s feedback.
