Nestle Pure Water is commonly believed as being cleaner and more secure to drink than tap water, and customers choice as a refresher. In any case, since it comes firmly encased in a container as opposed to streaming out of decades-old tap water doesn’t improve anything for you.
A lot of people live in big cities where they prefer drinking refreshing beverages and purified water for its distinctive refreshing taste. Hence they consume services of various types of water companies that provide filtered water at their doorsteps.
Each company has a different set of concentrations of minerals they add to water which is according to their nutritional values. However, are they truly satisfying the standard of safe water?
On one side Nestle Pure Water claims that they are the best-known company for providing safe and healthy nutritional water. And they have the best purification system for the effective purification process. They are not hesitant to claim, that their bottled water undergone tests and has always passed quality screening up to mark.
But on the other hand, studies revealed that bottled water contains harmful particles that can cause numerous health hazards. Researchers believe that contaminants in their water can pose serious biological symptoms. Researchers found the following chemicals in Nestle pure water with a light blend of minerals:
• Free chlorine-1%
• Copper-1 to 3%
• Bromine-20-10%
• Ammonia Chloride- a little bit of it.
Nestle pure water brand claims that their bottled water undergoes tests and has reverse osmosis plants to enhance their purified water and sweetener water. But studies by investigators show contrary results.
Side Effects of Purified Water:
Aside from its flat taste, distilled water with below-average TDS- Total Dissolved Solids levels don’t provide you with minerals like calcium and magnesium that you get from tap water. Due to the lack of adequate mineral content, this water has a tendency to pull them from the body to maintain balance.
So when you drink distilled water, it may take small amounts of minerals for example from your teeth and bones, making them porous and more prone to injury.
Preservation Problems of Purified Water:
Moreover, storing distilled water may create problems. Distilled water leaches minerals from any material it touches meaning it can absorb trace amounts of plastic or any other substance it is poured into.
However, as persuasive as their advertisements may be, the news of water toxicity and resulting serious health risks is not new.
Real Water is one such company that made highlights recently for their distribution of unhealthy water. The department of Food and Drug Administration warned people against using products linked to the brand Real Water until the case was in court and investigations against them were taking place.
The company was facing a court trial because a 5-year old girl named Hera Carrier got sick after she drank water from this company. Real Water distributed 5 gallons to the family of the girl who is a resident of Las Vegas. According to the parents, they liked the taste of water and felt active after the water intake each time. The problem started when Hera started complaining of repeated episodes of stomach ache.
On reaching the hospital, the doctor told the parents that Hera needs a liver transplant as her liver was intoxicated with toxins. The Carriers were unable to identify the cause of the intoxicated liver.
And around 11 new cases of children between the age of 5 to 11 years were shifted to other hospitals of the city with the same problem of needing a liver transplant. When the investigators tried to find the link between all these children. They were only able to find this company as a common supplier of water. Soon after, Real water company withdraws its product from the market.
Final Thoughts:
While purified water has many health benefits, it also has some potential drawbacks. The question that arises is: Should you choose purified water over regular water?
Purified water is relatively safe and may reduce exposure to certain contaminants found in tap water. Prefer drinking water with calories and no sweeteners for example fresh tap water. Despite the company’s claims, prefer knowing the facts.
