Updated:Are you wanting to put your home movies or almost any video on DVD for free? You can with Linux

For almost ANY Video, with almost any Linux flavor, you can download this software called DeVeDeNG. The NG stands for Next Generation. You may need to install what is NOT Open Source Software to get it to work, but it does work fabulously. You may need two other programs to prepare the videos to go to DVD. They are called Handbrake and AVIDemux3.

For DeVeDeNG, you may need to download proprietary versions of audio and visual codecs which are available free for now.

Use the software manager to find these three programs or ask the people who support the version of Linux you chose. It may take a little work if you're not used to Linux, BUT, boy, is it worth it!!!!!!

I know my way around pretty well, so I might have the answer you're looking for. Just ask me
