LI.FI Recap: What Happened Last Month❓

BREAKING NEWS: LI.FI raises $5.5 Million in Strategic Ecosystem Funding Round 💰

We are pleased to announce that we have raised $5.5 Million in a strategic ecosystem funding round led by 1kx. 👏

Other participants in this round include investment firms Dragonfly Capital, Lattice Capital, Scalar Capital, 6th Man Ventures, Coinbase Ventures, and decentralized autonomous organizations BairesDAO and AngelDAO, among others.

The fresh capital will help LI.FI’s efforts in expanding to more blockchains and for continued product success and improvements.

LI.FI at ETH Barcelona! 🎉

Our founder Philipp Zentner attended ETH Barcelona and gave a talk at the Advances in Blockchain Technology event. Philipp spoke on liquidity fragmentation and the fast-progressing interoperability space, as well as the case for bridge aggregation.

We always jump at the opportunity to hear our founder speak about how the future is multi-chain! So if you were in the room at ETH Barcelona, just know you got us all a little jealous!

The conference was world-class from start to finish and we left Barcelona feeling extremely confident that we are building in the right direction, and we look forward to meeting members of our community at future events!

Deep Dives + Ecosystem Overviews

The KING of Deep Dives, Mr Mark ‘Money-Lego’ Murdock, is back again with another top tier deep dive of Avalanche Bridge 🌉.

With Avalanche Bridge, users can execute cross-chain transfers between Avalanche and Ethereum in a single on-chain transaction.

Celo Ecosystem Overview

When it comes to exploring new ecosystems, there is only one man for the job to lead us on this mission, and that man is Jonas Bahceli.

This past month, Jonas, took our LI.FI family on an exploration of the Celo Ecosystem — Celo is a layer 1 smart-contract platform, focused on the deployment of dApps on mobile devices.

Dev Update 🧑‍💻

High-quality Integrations ⚙️

Over the month since our last update, there have been a great amount of integrations happening at LI.FI! We’re pleased to know that our B2B product is much loved and appreciated by those building towards the same cross-chain interoperable future that we are! 👋

Our Devs are committed to improving our UI & UX

We’ve identified and improved on some teething challenges:

1. Added route selection tags

2. Re-organized route selection to improve UX

3. Fix for token balance loading on @gnosischain

4. Improved error messaging

Our GO+ API also has a new classification of tokens called “Attention”, which highlights to our user’s tokens that do not pose a clear security risk, but which they should be aware of because of additional functionality.

There is also a new Etherspot version that supports more chains — winner winner chicken dinner 😉

Some key improvements 🔑

This past month we added some caching in the backend for faster and more reliable responses, restructured our status endpoint for better results and moved regular tasks to a dedicated worker instance to make our backend setup faster and easier to scale.

We will continue to have improvements like these and more in the coming months! And yes — tons more mega integrations ahead 👏

Customer Support Improvements ☎️

Apart from improvements to our backend, we have also made huge strides on our customer support front. Rather than have users wait for our support team members to help them troubleshoot issues, our Discord Developer (Alex) has created a bot that allows users to troubleshoot issues independently. That way, users can get the help they need 24/7.

Community Update (🦎,🦎)

LI.FI and Wonderverse have partnered for all things Li.Zard DAO, and this past month we had an incredible AMA with our frens at Wonderverse this past month with more than 1700 strong LI.FI community members attending!

It is encouraging to see our community unite for these events — best community ever 2022 decided already 🏆

BridgeWeek mania with Arbitrum Odyssey ⚡️

Our community really turned out strong when it came to the Arbitrum Odyssey bridge week! Tons of bridging took place and the bridge week was definitely one for the week! 🎉

New hires 🤝

We welcomed Tamana to our design department!

Tamana has been working in this industry for around 2 years now and brings about a new creative element to our Design Department. Tamana will be working directly on marketing related content so you will be able to see some of her epic designs soon! Tamana, we’re so happy to have you apart of the team!

We welcomed a new Backend Developer — welcome Sebastian 👋

Sebastian is a self-taught developer with a lot of drive and we are excited to have him onboard! We are looking forward to all the improvements and new ideas that will be implemented thanks to Sebastians skillset and experience as a backend developer.

TL;DR — We love you guys and hope you tell your friends about LI.FI too.
