The Israeli authorities decided that tourists who visited China within 14 days before departure to their country would not be admitted. The decision is valid until further notice.

Wizz Air, which fly to Eilat and Tel Aviv, informed the media about this fact. Due to an outbreak of coronavirus in China, the Israeli authorities have taken numerous health and safety measures to minimize the spread of the virus. According to the Wizz Air communiqué, the Israeli government has implemented measures to keep Israel a coronavirus-free state. "All passengers who visited China 14 days before departure to Israel will not be admitted to Israel. If passengers arrive in Israel without this condition, the airline will be required to take passengers to their country of origin / departure," the announcement said.

During the check-in procedure at the airport of departure, passengers will be asked about previous journeys and this information will be verified by the immigration office at the airport of departure and arrival. There may be chaos at airports, but authorities ensure that everything is under control. Importantly, the above regulations do not apply to people traveling with an Israeli passport. These passengers will be able to enter Israel and will receive appropriate instructions upon arrival from the state authorities.
