Who is he?

You wonder who is this guy? Peter Schilling? Ummm, I don't know who is he. This is why Peter Schilling was really famous in the '80s and the '90s... a long time ago, doesn't it?. So why am I talking about this guy?... because some music is timeless, a maybe this is the case. At least this case is for me. The Peter Schilling album "New & live" in 2010, yes, 10 years ago, is timeless and I have just discovered it now and I would like to share my thoughts with you. Why? because I think is really good and it deserves to be listened.

Who is Peter Schilling? He was born in Stuttgart in Germany in 1956 and he was a famous synthpop musician in the '80s and '90s. His songs deal with sci-fi like aliens, astronauts, and something like that. In 1983 he had his first international hit "Major Tom (coming at home)", which was a retelling story of David Bowie's classic "space oddity". From here and with the critics to his side, he was releasing other albums including international hits like "terra titanic" and "the different story". The first one, "terra titanic" was an anthem for the young people of the moment. Nowadays this song keeps on been really appreciated between the people. 

The Album Neu & live

This album was really a discovery for me. I was at a party with some friends, and we were remembering old times and antems of some time ago. Suddenly, "Terra Titanic" was played, wow!... and some of us told stories about our past good times when we listened to this song. Here is the cover single

So at the end of the party, when I arrived home, I looked for this song on Spotify and I discovered the album which I'm talking from. I started to listen  it, and at the beginning, it sounded a little bit strange because some tracks are in German... but when the music is good the language doesn't matter. So when you listen it several times you realized that this album matters. Now, this album is one of my favorites. It's a pity I couldn't know it earlier, sometime before. And this is why I want to share it with you. I recommend this album and I hope you enjoy it as much as I'm enjoying it.
