This is really a good question that lot of people have in their mind because in the last years it's common to hear about owners of cryptovalues that have lost their keys or cryptowallets exchange platforms, like the platform of the canadian Gerald Cotten, who died exactly 1 year ago...with his $12 milion bitcoin currency due to the fact that he was the only one to have access to his account passwords.
So the answer it's simple.. nothing happens to lost bitcoins, maybe they will stay forever in these wallets but it would be a great problem for cryptocurrencies. The average of bitcoins available it's always less and is extimated that in 2021 there will be no mineable bitcoins, the 4 milion mineable bitcoins will be all on the market and the price will go "up to the stars".
At the moment there are no evaluable analyzes on bitcoin market trends in the coming months but what is certain is that the mining will always give less to those who try to make money because from the new year the mineable bitcoins per day will be reduced, consequence of recent restrictive measures that caused the "collapse" of bitcoins from mid-november, obviously not comparable to last year when the value of cryptocurreny reached $3000. What is worst is an analysis published by a BlockChain study that shows the average of total bitcoins lost.. the result is shocking, we are talking about 3.789.600 Bitcoins lost! And it will keep increasing during these years.
Maybe one day all these bitcoins will be unlocked and put again on the market but it's hard to believe it.. The only hope it's that all these cryptos are not going to get lost in the no where.
If you liked this arcticle I'm so glad and I'll keep posting! Thanks and have a nice day
