Hello everyone!

I've been a member of this site for a while, but I haven't posted anything until now, so let's do a short introduction.

I am at present living in Japan, where I've been for the past 15 years. I make my money mainly from writing and translating, but also I still make a little from photography (this used to be my primary income, but Getty has completely killed the Stock market in the past few years: what used to be a monthly paycheck of several hundred dollars is now a paycheck of a couple bucks if I'm lucky).

I've been posting on Steemit/Hive for the past four years. Generally I post photos from my travels in Japan along with trivia about things you see in the photo, haiku I've translated along with information about the haiku, or some kind of other writing related to Japan—history, mythology, etc. Occasionally I post something about crypto or finance, but this is far from my area of expertise so I mostly leave that to the experts. 

I will start throwing up pretty much the same thing here. I know most people on this site are here to read tips on getting rich as soon as possible, but I figure maybe some of you wouldn't mind seeing beautiful photos of Japan or reading some classical haiku in between your crypto tips.
