Why I'm Not Concerned About the Next Crypto Crash.

By Danyal khan | leverage-survivor | 12 Jul 2026

I’ve survived three crypto crashes now.
2018.
2022.
2026.
They were all terrifying, and they all stung.
But each one provided me with invaluable lessons.
And currently? I’m unconcerned about the upcoming crash.
This is precisely why.

Crash #1: 2018

My inaugural crash was a painful experience.
I was new to crypto. Everything was on the rise, and I felt like a financial wizard.
Suddenly, it all collapsed.
Watching my portfolio plummet daily, I panicked and sold everything.
This led to my first lesson: never sell out of fear.

Crash #2: 2022

By the second crash, I was convinced I was prepared.
I’d studied market cycles and was familiar with its history.
However, the actual event still took a toll.
Although I didn’t sell this time, the temptation was palpable.
This taught me my second lesson: the market inevitably bounces back.

Crash #3: 2026

With experience, I recognize the familiar pattern:

The pervasive fear.
The overwhelming panic.
The alarming headlines screaming about the end.
And then, gradually, a resurgence begins.
The narrative is the same every time.

What I’ve Learned About Crashes

Lesson Why It Matters

The market always recovers It has every single time
Panic selling is the real mistake That's when you lock in your losses
Crashes are opportunities The best prices happen during crashes
Don't invest more than you can lose You'll sleep better at night
Think long term 5 years from now, today's price won't matter

Why I'm Not Worried Now

Because I’ve witnessed this film before.
I know the ending.
The market craters. Widespread panic ensues. The headlines paint a grim picture.
Then, it recovers. The people who held on are the ones who profit.
I understand the sequence of events now, and I refuse to get caught up in the hysteria again.

What I Do When the Market Crashes

1. I do not sell. This is non-negotiable.

2. I buy more. If I believe in an asset's long-term potential, a crash represents a discount.

3. I disregard the news. Headlines are designed to instill fear.

4. I maintain perspective. Five years from now, today's crash will be an insignificant blip.

5. I sleep soundly. I’ve navigated this terrain before.

Final Thought

Crypto crashes are undoubtedly frightening, but they are also a natural part of the cycle. They happen, they have always happened, and they will always continue to happen.
The key is to prevent fear from dictating your actions. Remain calm, be patient, and stay focused on the long-term outlook. You’ll be okay.
