I get it. Everyone wants to find the next 100x coin. The one that turns $100 into $10,000 overnight.
I wanted that too.
I chased it. I lost money chasing it. Now I'm done. The Meme Coin Trap Meme
coins are everywhere.
New ones pop up every day.
They have cute logos. They have hype. They have influencers screaming "to the moon."
But here's what most people don't realize. Most meme coins are designed to make the founders rich, not you. They create hype.
They pump the price.
They dump on retail investors. It's a game. And unless you're the one running it, you're probably not going to win. My Experience I bought a meme coin once.
It was called something silly.
I don't even remember the name now. I saw it pumping on Twitter. Everyone was talking about it.
I FOMO'd in. The price went up 50%. I felt like a genius.
Then it crashed 90%.
I held. I hoped. I prayed. It never recovered.
I lost almost everything I put in.
That was my lesson. What I Learned Lesson Why It Matters Hype is not a strategy Just because everyone is talking about it doesn't mean it's a good investment Utility beats memes Coins with real use cases survive. Meme coins usually don't Don't chase pumps If you're late to the party, you're the exit liquidity Do your own research Don't trust influencers.
They're getting paid to promote What I Do Now I don't chase meme coins anymore. I buy Bitcoin. I buy Ethereum.
I buy projects with real utility.
It's not exciting. But it's profitable. I sleep better at night. I don't stress about price crashes.
I don't worry about rug pulls.
I just hold and wait. The Truth About 100x Returns Here's the uncomfortable truth. To get 100x returns, you need to buy something incredibly risky.
And if it's incredibly risky, you're more likely to lose everything than to 100x. The odds are against you. I'd rather make steady, consistent returns than gamble on a lottery ticket.
What's the Alternative?
Approach Risk Reward Meme coin gambling Very high Very high (rare) Bitcoin & Ethereum Moderate Steady over time DCA investing Low Consistent growth I'm choosing the boring route. And I'm okay with that. Final Thought I'm not chasing the next 100x meme coin anymore. I'm building a portfolio that will grow over time.
It's not sexy.
It's not exciting. But it works. And that's enough for me.
