StepBet also known as WayBetter
Name says it all. StepBet is an app where You can bet on Yourself. What does it mean? In short the app gives You personalized goals to make steps for a time period. Most of the games takes 6 weeks. With 1 Warm-up week. So it means that for 5 weeks straight You will need to complete step goals within the app. You can use:
Android:
- Fitbit
- Garmen
- Google fit
- S Health
iOS:
- Apple health
- Apple watch
- Apple fitbit
One you choose the way to track Your steps, they can't be changed for the challenges You have already started.
One game cost ~40$ and You can only play one game at the time (unless You pay for premium, so called member).
Once You start, You need to pay initial 40$ payment for the ticket to the game. You do that after You see the step count You need to do for the weeks to come. For example my last game lasted 6 weeks and needed me to have 4 Active days ( At least 16 477 steps a day) And 2 Power days (19 992 steps a day) with 1 day off. Don't get scared after seeing the step count. It is personalized and for you the power day may be 3 times lower than mine.
If You succeed to do Your goals You split the pot. Free games has a 15% tax on the pot. So in this game above my return would be:
(19920 - 15%) / 337 - 40$(initial investment)= 10.24 $. Now I understand 10$ is not that much. But at this point, lets look at it from the perspective of me having to walk. Which is awesome. Sometimes I get up from the screen couple of hours before bed and go do my steps in. Sleep quality and stamina increased by a ton!
Although money and health benefits motivate You in the game, community itself is enough to join. (Free game community is more active than member one)
If You choose to be a member, it costs 59.99 $ a year but You get the option to play 3 games at a time. Premium games has no tax on the pot, free games have a tax on the pot even if You are a member. Even though that's the case, free games sometimes are more profitable than member ones.
There are harder games, for example no free days, more people fail these games so the pay out is a little higher and there are easier games with 2 free days off and so on. Basically if You'd like to start walking more and is hard for You to find motivation. The initial investment + possible profits are very good motivator.
Be advised that once started, the game is only refundable if You have medical emergency/proof of You not being able to compete. (You can also ask for a refund during warm-up week if the game has one.)
My last games:

This was called a marathon - Marathon takes 8 weeks. 1 st. week is free of steps - warm-up. other 7 weeks You have to hit all 7 days with Your personalized active goals. No power days needed. The initial cost - 60$. My total cash-out 82.74$ with a profit of 22.74$.

This one is a Maintainer - game that keeps your last games requirements for the new game. It's a premium game of 6 weeks with standard rules. First week being a warm-up and the other 5 weeks - 2 power days, 4 active days, 1 day off. This game cost me 40 $ and the cash-out was 47.25 $.
Walking Machines was actually a free game with the same rules as Maintainer, except if You play this all the time, Your goals increase a little bit because they do get higher with time. As You can see I got 48.69 $ cash-out. The game cost was 40 $.
To conclude all the information - the StepBet is a good way to make yourself more active and get those whooping returns on Your investment.
Investing in Your health most of the time cost You tons of money, well not with StepBet!
