Dear Friends,

Being a teacher has made me realise something very clearly…
We can teach a child.
We can guide them.

We can encourage them, correct them, motivate them and patiently try again and again. 
But we cannot do it all alone.

Sometimes, parents expect teachers to handle everything — academics, behaviour, discipline, habits, responsibility, confidence… almost everything a child needs.
And honestly, as teachers, we do our best. We care about our students and we want to see them grow.

But a teacher cannot compensate for what is missing at home.
What happens in the classroom needs to be supported at home too.
A simple “Did you finish your homework?”
A reminder to be responsible.

Encouraging them to read.
Teaching them to respect others.
Listening to them.

Setting boundaries.
Showing up when they need guidance.
These little things make a BIG difference.
Because a child spends only part of their day with us.

The rest of their world is home.
I’ve seen how beautifully children grow when parents and teachers work together instead of expecting one side to do everything.

Teachers are not just educators.
Parents are not just providers.
We are both part of a child’s journey — and when we work together, the child benefits the most.

Someone may be judging you right now.

Someone else may be quietly inspired by you.

But neither one is living your life.

Neither one is walking in your shoes.

And neither one is paying your bills.

So breathe.

Look at the sea.

And keep going your own way.

You don’t have to explain your life to everyone.

Just live it in a way that gives you peace.
