This has follow up with our coverage on the update of Pi coin which was earlier listed in Huobi Crypto exchange on 22 December 2022.

We all know that Pi is a unique crypto project which can be mined with one’s mobile phone without draining the batteries. Pi is the first cryptocurrency that can be mined in the mobile phone in the world through the app.

Soon after the listing of Pi coin in the Huboi Crypto Exchange, Pi has issued an information bulletin that Pi is in enclosed network and it has not authorised any exchanges to list for trade. It has also warned the users to stay away from this.

As it has been listed in Huboi exchange, it has been ranked in the coinmarketcap website. According to the coinmarketcap website, Pi is ranked at 2677. Currently Pi is trading at USD 74.399, which is down over 3.94% from yesterdays trade price. The 24-hour trading volume of Pi is $1,857,847 USD.

The coinmarketcap website has also mentioned a cautionary note that they have received various questions on the legitimacy of the coin. As the mainnet of Pi is yet to get released, the value has shown in these exchanges and the transfer of Pi from one exchange to other is not possible. Mainnet stands for an open/live blockchain network—a digitally distributed, decentralised, public ledger—that is up and running.

According the coinmarketcap.com website, other than Huobi exchange, Pi has also been listed in Bitmart, SuperEx, Hotcoin Global and XT.COM.

There are various speculations on the directions of Pi coin value.

As mentioned in our earlier article on this, considering the circulating supply, the value will be going down only.

I personally anticipate that the Pi price will be down below 1 USD. Let’s wait for other applications that would be built on Pi so that we can assess the growth of the network.

At the writing of our previous article dated on 8 January 2023, Pi was trading at 101.63 USD but currently it is trading at 74.39 USD. Both these trading prices have been extracted from Huobi exchange.
