Recently, Twitter, the popular social media platform currently under Elon Musk, announced the addition of another 30 crypto tokens to its ‘$Cashtags’ feature, which allows all its users to check the price of the individual tokens.

According to the twitter this new $Cashtags feature was available from 21 December 2022 by the Twitter Business account.

Elon Musk is fondly regarded as the father of DOGE Coin. His own platform Twitter, has also added DOGE/USD into the "cashtag," a new feature that allows users to easily search the current prices of cryptocurrencies. The Dogecoin Twitter community expressed their support for the recent inclusion in the wake of this decision.

What is it all about on Castags?

When a twitter user tweets with a symbol of a stock, ETF or the enlisted cryptocurrency with a prefix of $, they can able to see a clickable link with would be linked to search results. These results will show the pricing graphs.

What are the addition and deletion?

According to recent announcement, the additional 30 tokens have been added to the list of this new feature’s initial connected currencies with Bitcoin and Ether. Tether, XRP, Binance USD (BUSD), Cardano, Solana, Polygon (MATIC), Litecoin, Dai, Avalanche, Uniswap, Dogecoin, and Shiba Inu are some of the top 30 tokens out of the 50 that the firm revealed. Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC), Ethereum Classic, Bitcoin Cash, Stellar, Internet Computer (ICP), Decentraland and The Sandbox are other coins that were included. While BNB, USD Coin, OKB, Lido Staked Ether (STETH), Polkadot, and Tron were eliminated the Crypto list. 

Twitter informed that, the coins were chosen based on market capitalization.

As Elon Musk is a strong crypto supporter, everyone is eagerly waiting whether Crypto payments would be integrated in Twitter under Elon Musk's period.
