This popular crypto wallet Bitkeep was hacked on December 26, 2022 a day after Christmas. 

In the open letter and New Year wish aftermath this hack (see the link enclosed), the Bitkeep CEO Mr. Kevin in reiterated that , "We are committed to making BitKeep the greatest crypto wallet and will never flinch because of the challenges along the way. And we will for sure deliver BitKeep users the peace of mind they deserve. After all, it’s our vision to build the safest wallet for all Web3 dwellers"

It was excepted that Bitkeep would compensate the hack victims. 

In this line, through the twitter with a number of twitter threads, Bitkeep announced the compensation details for its users. 

Bitkeep would launch a compensation site where the users can apply for compensation. 

Bitkeep said that half of the money would be paid by late February 2023 and the rest would be done by March 2023. 

Though, there were various security measures were ensured and is available, the hacks are being continued.

Many of the investors are also thinking to keep their holdings in the hardware wallets also. Safety and security especially in the custodial part of the Crypto assets are much needed and as investors we have to ensure it from our level too..
