Crypto is not just platforms like Binance or CDC, nor even just DeFI protocols like Aave or Compound. It's a whole ecosystem and a community that come together to provide user-usable protocols. There are a lot of developers working behind the scenes and many projects are unknown to the general public but still essential for other projects.

It is therefore essential to support these projects. From a more egotistical point of view, many people like to know good deals, to know about projects that are going to explode ... For this it is sometimes enough simply to discover a project from its conception. Important projects also use Gitcoin. This is for example. the case of Polkadot. They started on Gitcoin with a 'Build Polkadot' Bounty Challenge, which ran until June 11, 2020, with a total of 6K DAI to be won to support the Polkadot ecosystem.

Gitcoin: A community on Ethereum

Gitcoin is an open source funding platform on the Ethereum blockchain. It allows open source developers to be paid for their work and to contribute to projects, which are also open source. It therefore connects a community of developers who would otherwise have struggled to find each other.

One thing you will notice after exploring Gitcoin is that there is no token for the Gitcoin ecosystem. The platform supports all ERC20 tokens, with the aim of promoting Ethereum as a whole.

Gitcoin for contributors

As said before, Gitcoin allows you to discover new projects. There is everything. It goes from the hard core protocol where you have to be yourself a developer to understand. From the creators of Meme on Twitter or even some content creators. Like blogs, videos ... If you're familiar with Kickstarteur or other collaborative platforms, Gitcoin works much the same way. Except that here there is no ceiling to be reached.

Gitcoin for developers / creators

If you are a developer or others, you can also share your project on the platform and get funding from contributors. It is a very simple and transparent system, because everyone can see how much the project won, who participated.

There are also bug bounties, hackathlons, job offers and also some games to learn a little more about web3 and earn some rewards.

Building together

We often read that Ethereum has no future, that other much faster blockchains will take over ... But people tend not to see the tip of the Ethereum iceberg. It’s a whole community that develops Dapps and protocols. Is this community ready to look elsewhere?

It is therefore important to support developers and innovation. These are probably protocols that started on Gitcoin that will allow you in a while to stake your tokens to generate interest, or to be able to borrow funds simply…. This is the heart of the DeFI in particular and the real DeFI.

No Repeated Forks and Food Name Protocols It is quite unusual in our culture to donate and help in this way. People want a finished product, which earns them money or knowledge, but don't want to pay for it. And even less if the product is in development.

Support Cryptoouf.com

So I wanted to give it a try, and I started a campaign that aims to help fund part of this site, mainly its hosting.

I tried to add a page to send a Tip on the site but this page goes unnoticed. I still want to thank very much the few readers who tipped me through the Brave browser. Even a little help is a huge donation for the maintenance of this site. Right now this site is taking my time and costing me money.

The goal is not to make a profit (otherwise I will do sponsored videos on youtube) but at least to reduce expenses and ideally be in balance. If this site helps you win some tokens then think about it!

I also find that the system offered by Gitcoin makes all the more sense for this site, which will surely tend to focus mainly on DeFi. Everything is transparent.

Don't hesitate to take a look at my grant's page
