Ponzi Fraudsters have been targeting the Cloud Mining Investment side of Cryptocurrency Passive Earnings. Now if you are not familiar a Ponzi Scheme is very similar to Multi Level Marketing (MLM) aka Pyramid Schemes - Only Ponzi Markets are a little more deceptive, often promise untold riches... but actually rely on investors to bring to the said Ponzi Scheme referrals that are paying to become members to the scheme, before paying little in benefit to the referrer and then shutting down the scheme without notice and running with the loot.
Cloud Mining is seeing a high level of this type of fraud hitting cyberspace - many of the fraudulent Cloud Mining Websites have similar look and similar grammatical mistakes, postal address or hq address, plus coding errors as other fraudulent Cloud Mining Websites.
You should at the very least be contacting the website owner or support to ask questions BEFORE investing ANY of your hard earned crypto into Cloud Mining. Questions such as asking for a tour virtually of the mining equipment. Absolute proof of payments to other investors via TX - ask for photographic evidence.
Often you only have to do the math and figure out if a scheme is legit - if they are paying out more crypto over a month than makes sense - such as paying out huge amounts that equate to more Cryptocurrency of the type you are mining has ever produced - Alarm bells should be ringing.
Also it would not be the first time I have experienced such when surfing I bump into a Cloud Mining Website full of spelling mistakes and Russian adverts that house their offices in London... Alarm bells again.
Ask for their investment portfolio offers to be presented in a pdf download - a reputable Cloud Mining Service will be able to provide full documentation and if required any company liability insurance proof, not only to protect themselves but also you as the investor. Without those at a minimum stay the heck away. Don't just rely on a company being registered... This can be achieved by anybody at very low cost, and especially via Companies House in the UK - known for not looking much further than the £6-GBP it costs to register a business name.
A legitimate and registered company will not only have a registered business name, but a traceable office headquarters address and proof of occupation, business accounts should be available if a company has been around a few years, or a Registered Post Office Box.
Websites must be clearly registered and have a traceable owner and business address. Ideally support also has telephone numbers. No proof of business and supporting documents and professionally written legal document of investment and contract with insurance where applicable are a minimum...
If when you contact support you get a silly answer... (see image) then that is for certain a no go to invest. For sure if you do not hear back... Absolutely hell no!
Just be aware that many Cloud Mining Services are not legit, any good and reputable company will have no problem in serving you with the information you require... As long as it is not tech secrets of course.
For reference, and I will name and shame until proved as legit by the developer, any company deflecting questions or failing the legitimacy tests. However the reply in the image was sent by the support team or developer at dogemarket(dot)biz.
Be aware Cloud Mine Devs... I am watching you, absolutely I have no problem in naming and shaming or sharing intelligence should you chose the path of ripping off investors.
It is not hard to script a website full of fake cloud mine tickers etc... Be warned.
*UPDATE Sunday 13th December 2020*
Below is a screenshot of the second reply from the afore mentioned admin - after I have requested proof of equipment, and proof of cloud mining. It seems rather than concern themselves with tending to a potential investors simple request, a video was asked to be removed?
I have not even asked to view contracts first yet...
I will let you good folks be the judge.
