This is what happens when you're bored on a plane

By LeftFooted | LeftFooted's Antics | 23 Jun 2024

I'm writing this from a plane, on my way back home, and I'm bored.

I'm flying Wizz Air, which by the way I've only now realised I've been spelling it wrong my whole life because I thought it was either Wizzair or WizzAir but it's neither. It's Wizz Air, two words.

But I digress.

Because I'm bored, I'm doing that thing where you read every word of the inflight magazine.

Did you know that Wizz Air 'continues to expand in 2024'?

That's what CEO, Joszsef Varadi says.

I can't google it now but I'm going to go ahead and assume he's Hungarian, since Wizz Air is Hungarian and that's 100 percent Hungarian name.

Wizz Air apparently uses (or use, if you're of the opinion that we should use the plural form for airlines) 212 aircraft, and by the way, because English is such a weird language, the plural of the word aircraft is still aircraft. Go figure.

But I digress again.

Wizz Air flies to 190+ destinations in 53 countries, and has 33 bases in 16 countries, and covers 760+ routes, and has 8,000+ staff, and carried 60.3 million passengers last year.

This is a 90-minute flight, I've just killed about four minutes writing this, now I just to work out what to do for the remaining 86.
