I'm three for three so far.
So far, I've had three flights cancelled/delayed on me, and I was compensated all three times.
As many people know, you're entitled to compensation if your flight's delayed by more than three or six hours, or if it's cancelled. Broadly speaking, this applies to any and every flight arriving to or departing from the UE and UK.
Last October, I booked a flight from a EU to a non-EU country that was due to leave at 11.30 PM. The flight was delayed by 6+ hours, and we left around 7 in the morning.
I was entitled for compensation, and I so applied to get it.
The airline responded quite promptly, and asked for my bank details.
Then, the thing I was expecting to happen happened. The airline was always responsive, I have to give them that, but it started to buy time, which I was expecting.
Then, this morning, I sent them another email - I've been basically copy-pasting the same email for months ("Hello, any news? Thanks") - and they said compensation was approved and will be processed soon.
I wouldn't be surprised if 'soon' meant a few more months from now, but I'm sure I'll get it.
Looking forward to my €600 discount. I'm going to use to buy BTC, maybe.
