I like writing. Duh. But the thing is, writing for a living isn't the same as writing for fun.

Every day, I wake up and I know I'm going to have to write XY amount of articles, and I know I won't have full editorial freedom over that.

And these articles will have to be vetted both I write them and edited by people who do this for a living after, which means that the finished product, which was already diluted by constrictions that come with a job, is very different to the original I might have had in mind.

But here I'm free.

I have other things going on, I have a blog for example, but this is maybe better because there's generally real feedback. And wine money, which helps.

Ultimately, chasing crypto news and rehashing articles everyone already wrote 10 thousand different ways isn't a useful use of my time.

Which is why I made an executive decision and decided to only write about stuff I like. I won't be chasing the latest CZ, Brian Armstrong, Michael Saylor news, I'll just write whatever.

That way, every word I write will be a word I want to write, not something I feel like I have to write.
