Skale (SKL) - A brief introduction

By KnightMare | LearningCrypto | 30 May 2021

Being new to crypto-currency, there are tokens that I wasn't familair with. I had heard of Bitcoin ofcourse, and Ethereum. But Skale? No idea.

Thanks to CoinBase's education program and free crypto-earning program ( referal link if you are interested), I've learned more than I knew before.

Today I'll dive deeper into Skale, as I just completed the training and received $3 worth of tokens.

Skale has a roughly 380 million market cap and is growing. The official description is:

SKALE (SKL) is an Ethereum token that powers the Skale Network, which describes itself as “an Ethereum-compatible network with a leaderless consensus designed to run on an uncapped number of independent nodes.” Nodes on the Skale Network provide resources to multiple decentralized elastic blockchains. The SKL token grants a right to participate as a network validator, stake as a delegator, or access a share of the network’s resources as a developer.

It is the 12th most held asset on Coinbase and people usually hold it for 11 days. They are getting close to a billion SKL in supply ( 959 million) and the last 24 hours there was almost 100 million in trade volume.

There are more people selling than there are buying SKALE at the moment.
