Why are Cryptopunks so expensive?

Why are there some NFTs like Cryptopunks, Bored Apes and Mutant Apes so expensive?

Well Cryptopunks was one of the very first NFT projects in Ethereum back in 2017. When you are one of the first at a new market, u get more % over the market. More or less expensive comes from the value that people give at goods. Demand and Supply. And when u only have a supply of 10000 collectibles and thousands of people ready to buy them the price goes up. But that's not everything. The Cryptopunks have become the figure of the NFT Space. When people talks about NFTs the first thing in your mind is the Cryptopunks or the Bored Apes. At this point they have become more of a "Store of Value" than just a collectible.

You can easily compare it with Bitcoin (BTC). 21 Million Bitcoins. First Crypto out there. It might not be a medium of exchange, being used for buying a coffee for example, but it's of course, a Store of Value.

Cryptopunks are the same, a Store of Value. If you ask me if Cryptopunks are gonna be here in the next 5 years the answer is Yes. It's gonna be one of the few projects that I believe will stay here for that reason. Cryptopunks are most likely to be the Bitcoin of NFTs.

What are your thoughts on NFTs? Do you see them as a Store of Value, as collectibles, do you just flip them, or do you choose to ignore them?
