HODL VS STAKE

If you are really a crypto fan i guess you use "HODL" instead of "HOLD". For those who don't know that how "hodl" started and became a meme. https://www.investopedia.com/terms/h/hodl.asp 

Let's say you are a Crypto Investor. And let's say you are not a day-trader. Is there a reason why you just buy Cryptos and just holding them in your spot wallet?

Spot Wallet kinda looks like a Savings Account in Bank. You just have you assets there, so they don't gain any aditional value. And of course FIAT money due to inflation & bank fees, lose their value. Cryptos in the other hand if you leave them in your spot wallet may go up and they may go down. But If you are In for the long-term and you cannot see yourself selling after a 3x or a 10x or a -80% drop, then why do you hodl them in the spot?

Many Exchanges & Defi Applications that are very easy-to-use offer you the possibility to stake your coins for an APY (annual percentage yield). APY depends on the volume, the locked period, the flexibility of the staking, the volatily of the token, etc. I can understand that you may not want to Stake all your cryptos due to their low market cap might be more volitile in a market crash, but then why not stake your "big" ones? Exchanges like Binance offer 7.75% APY for a locked period of 30 days on Cardano (ADA), and up to 10.43% APY for 90 days! Solana also is on 8.78% APY for 30 days! Luna also on 9.43% APY for 30 days! These are just 3 out of the 10 biggest crypto out there!

Why just HODL when you can STAKE?

If you are in for the long run, then you have nothing to lose.
