Spanish football club FC Barcelona, or Barça, has teamed up with fintech platform Chiliz to create a blockchain-based token $BAR

FC Barcelona hope that with Chiliz partnership they will increase engagement between club and fans through Barça fan tokens ( $BAR ) on mobile application Socios.com. Fans will be able to vote, do surveys, also to spend the asset on products and events if they have $BAR.

Joining other big football clubs that created their own token on Socios.com platform such as italian footbals clubs Juventus and AS Roma, french football club PSG, english club West-Ham United, turkish club Galatasary Istanbul.
All assets will be priced against Chiliz native token CHZ : BAR/CHZ , PSG/CHZ , JUV/CHZ, etc.

Like $PSG and $JUV, FC Barcelona’s $BAR tokens were built on Chiliz’s Proof of Authority Ethereum-based blockchain as ERC20 tokens.

At this stage, Barca tokens will be only available on Socios.com and Chiliz.net
