Is technology advancing... Or the human desire is advancing...?

Is technology advancing... Or the human desire is advancing...?

Dear Friends,

Apple's massive September gift is out now- yes their IPhone 18 Pro is launched.

I really wonder why people are waiting for twelve hours?

A new mobile phone has hit the market.
It is Apple’s new iPhone.

Upon seeing the news that a crowd—not just one person—waited for twelve hours in a long queue outside the store to buy it, a question naturally arises.

What exactly is gained by standing in line all night long?

Whether one goes to the store at opening time or waits in line from the previous night, the product received is the same new iPhone.

There is no significant difference in price, either.

This brings to mind Apple’s pre-order system.

Pre-orders begin days before the official launch date. Once payment is made, the phone is either delivered to one's doorstep on the launch day or can be picked up at the store.

It is the same product.

The same price.

The same warranty.

Given this, what is the benefit of standing in line outside the store for twelve long hours?

Mostly, it is the status of being the "first buyer" and the joy of capturing the experience in photos to share on social media.

There is nothing wrong with that, of course.

Some people have a keen desire to be the very first to own a new product on the day it launches. One could view this as a celebration, much like waiting outside a cinema hall in the early hours for the first screening of a movie.

However, when considering actual need and utility, the situation appears somewhat different.

While the giant companies like Apple have leveraged technology to create pre-order systems that eliminate the need to stand in queues outside stores.

Yet, people still choose to spend twelve hours of their time waiting in line to buy the new phone.

Waiting twelve hours to purchase a product is, in itself, a form of enthusiasm. Pre-ordering the product and waiting for the release date from the comfort of one's home offers a certain kind of convenience.

In either of these cases, the iPhone that eventually ends up in your hands is exactly the same!

Technology continues to save people time.

Yet, to purchase a product created by that very technology, people spend their time standing in queues.

Is technology advancing...
Or is it human desire that is advancing...?
