Tutorial - Convert videos for your old iPod using VLC

After getting an iPod Classic 6th Gen from eBay and filling all the 120GB with my old music collection I was thinking - maybe it was time to try all the other functionalities this little beast has to offer.

The iPod has a surprisingly good screen at a 320x240 resolution and is still a perfect buddy to mess around while your travel - if you are into the world of more "manual tech" and you like to tinker around with your personal files before getting to enjoy them.

VLC gives you the opportunity to convert all your music and video files to transfer them onto your iPod - if the system offers video functionality.

It's a really easy process and does not need anything else than a computer (Windows, MacOS or Linux), VLC and iTunes installed.

I hardly discourage everyone using all the messy "free to download" programs and online conversion tools for this purpose.
Not only they take a much longer time uploading and downloading all your files one by one, it's just not worth the risk exposing your privacy.

With VLC, conversion happens using your own computer's power.

I'm really happy that you stopped by and watched my video!
