Lately it seems like many cryptocurrencys are all skyrocketing at the same time. Some of these hit their all-time high but I believe many cryptocurrencies have yet to peak. It seems nearly everyday there is a new trending coin, on the top of the charts. It's worth noting that most people have HEARD about cryptocurrencys but majority just don't understand it. I believe this is just the beginning of the crypto-heights. When current heights are continuously being broken time and time agian.
Even with each coin having their own community, the larger crypto-community is still only a small portion of the population. Dominating headlines, doesn't make things less confusing or more trustful to the typical Joe. That being said even with the recent spike in popularity (and price), cryptocurrencies still remain very on the outer edges, barely penetrating our lives. Only a small portion own cryptocurrencys and even smaller portion owns majority of it. It stands to reason that once more real-use applications are applied to more and more cryptocurrencys we will see a shift in who owns cryptocurrencys. The next 5 to 10 years will begin a critical shift towards acceptance, as we have already begun to see institutions piling in. Big names from Tesla, PayPal, and Visa are all leading the charge. I wouldn't be surprised to see many more big names jump on board before the years end. Back to the bigger picture... cryptocurrencys and blockchain will eventually come to touch nearly every aspect of our lives. As more applications are being realized everyday, it's becoming more clear that this "trend" isn't going away. Generations to come will live and thrive side by side with blockchain applications. So If you had any doubts about tucking away some coins for your kids? Saving up for retirement? I only suggest that you don't put all your eggs in one basket, and give them some time to grow.
With Bitcoin finally having found some support, it may break above the 60k mark this round. With news of the passing stimulus, and when the stimulus arrives we should see another strong push for many top cryptocurrencys.
