What is a MetaSwap Aggregator?

By Kromatika | Kromatika Education | 5 May 2022

MetaSwap is a decentralized, peer-to-peer, trading platform or more accurately, an “aggregator” that allows users to swap cryptocurrencies instantaneously and securely. This means they bring together multiple exchanges and trading pairs to provide the best prices and quality of service to their users. MetaSwap charges a small fee for each trade.

How it works

It gathers orders from independent traders onto a single order book. This creates a single source of liquidity for traders to use, which reduces the cost of trading for users. It also increases the volume of trades that can be made, which reduces the fees that need to be paid to market makers. MetaSwap is built on the 0x protocol, which uses the ZRX token as a means of charging fees for services provided on the platform.
