What is a blockchain?

A blockchain is a decentralized database that serves as an authoritative record of all transactions ever carried out, with all blocks cryptographically linked. This prohibits anyone from changing or deleting transactions after they’ve been entered into the ledger, ensuring that the ledger is a reliable record of who owns what. It enables individuals to interact directly with one another, removing the need for all types of middlemen. This means that multiple parties can transact without having to go through a central authority for verification purposes.

Blockchain technology has swiftly risen to prominence as one of the most popular and valuable technologies. It provides a huge opportunity for businesses and organizations around the world. Many things can be done with the blockchain, and it’s an area of technology you must keep your eye on.
