THE POSSIBILITY OF ANOTHER MAJOR CRYPTOCURRENCY ATTACK IS UNDER INVESTIGATION.
A chart showing the daily exchange of active addresses in Litecoin led to suspicions that there was a regular attack on cryptocurrency.
In the Dusting method, the hacker randomly sends very small amounts of coins to thousands, even tens of thousands of addresses. The amount of coins is so small that they cannot be spent without being included in other user-held coins. This allows the attacker to decipher the person behind the wallet by tracking the amount he sent to the wallet.

Litecoin developers, on the other hand, are working to improve privacy on cryptocurrencies in a way that frustrates such attacks. The team is currently busy implementing the MimbleWimble protocol of cryptocurrencies such as Beam and Grin.
