Turkey's interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology continues to grow slowly. A blockchain research proposal has now been moved to parliament after Turkcoin, Turkey's digital currency previously made by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Blockchain Breakthrough In Parliament
The motion, issued by CHP Antalya MP Cetin Osman Budak, basically stresses that Turkey should take a pro-active stance on blockchain and that it should be investigated. Not only cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology continues to change the world, Turkey should not stay back from this, Budak said, strong steps should be taken towards this.:

"The amount of cryptocurrencies at their peak value in 2018 is 7 per cent of the World dollar Reserve, 39 per cent of the euro reserve and 10 per cent of the Gold Reserve. Despite this effect, the cryptocurrency system is a small part of the blockbuster system. Developing as a new security mechanism of the Global world, this technology has the potential to reshape the world's trading system. “

In addition, the research motion stated that the cryptocurrencies offered by Blockchain technology infrastructure exceeded the national incomes of all but 19 countries. Blockchain cryptocurrencies are being used in hundreds of areas, from industry to E-deed and e-ID cards.
