Ing, the Netherlands ' largest bank with total assets of over $ 980 billion, is reportedly working to provide cryptocurrency retention services.

An exclusive Reuters report said ING was working to develop a technology that would ensure the safe storage of cryptocurrencies. According to the news, the storage service project is still in the beginning stages.

ING wants to join among its many established financial institutions that have begun offering retention services for cryptocurrencies and other types of digital assets, such as Bitcoin. In October 2018, Boston-based investment manager Fidelity started a company focused on digital money and began providing cryptocurrency storage and trading services to institutional investors. The company had also received approval from New York regulators last month to provide services to companies operating in the state.
ING, one of the world's largest banks, has begun efforts to provide cryptocurrency storage services.
On the other hand, Japanese bank Nomura Holdings also created a new venture called Komainu to provide cryptocurrency retention service to institutional investors in 2018.
