Bakkt, which created a big expectation in the cryptocurrency sector and unfortunately couldn't meet the expectations in the first week of its launch, seems to reverse this situation.

Bakkt recently broke two volume records both during the days of Bitcoin's downfall and rise, and announced its new commercial application in an official statement.

Bakkt Chief Product Manager Mike Blandina said that many stores and retail giants are facing new opportunities to accept crypto currency and are taking steps to evaluate them.

After confessing that Blandina Bakkt is nearing the end of developing its basic payment platform and application, it announced that the commercial application, which will be used in Starbucks stores and will make cryptocurrency payments, will be officially launched in the first half of 2020.

Over the last year, we’ve assembled a strong team of payments engineers and are nearing completion of our core payments and compliance platform. We’re now focused on the development of the consumer app and merchant portal, as well as testing with our first launch partner, Starbucks, which we expect in the first half of next year.
