Lately, I have read a little bit about an alleged attack on the cryptocurrency exchange giant "Binance", it is something that has caught my attention and that is why I have decided to write about it, do you think it is incredible that this giant has been attacked? The theft has been nothing more and nothing less than $40 million and that represents a little more than 2% of the total amount that "Binance" has to support its users.
so today I decided to talk about it and we will investigate in-depth about it, here you can find some information.
I want to mention that "Binance" does not know how this happened to this day.
This happened a long time ago and it is very interesting I just wanted to share it with you because I simply could not believe what I was reading. Something very fabulous is that they have attacked this great technology and security that the exchange giant has.
When this happened the company froze the withdrawals as well as the deposits of the funds for security reasons, to then accommodate or investigate what happened.
It is believed that they took advantage of a vulnerability in the "Binance" API although this is unknown as of today guys, if this is so the team had to get to work as soon as possible to solve this problem, this can not continue like this friends.
It is said that they put intentional Mail to the employees and in that way get some information.
The information they managed to extract was devastating for the company.
The Binance CEO's response on the matter.
Binance's CEO addressed the issue and tweeted the following.
What caught my attention about this was that the CEO said that the funds are safe because of the liquidity pool that the Binance team has. They assure me that it won't happen again, but I don't believe this.
I think the crypto community is very small but due to this attack many exchanges joined to support the giant, this is a sign of kindness and that they are not jealous even though they are competing for the top spot.
Absolutely all of us are Binance users and that is something we have to keep in mind guys that this theft may affect us in the future, either far or near, but it affects all of us just the same. This can happen again and when it does it can be devastating to our cryptocurrency folks.
That's all for today, see you guys in the next installment.
