Hey there thanks for stopping by! I am a dude from Kingston who wants to share some awesome spots around my beautiful area!
KINGSTON MILLS LOCKS
The first place that comes to mind is the Kingston Mills Locks on the Rideau Canal. It's a great spot for a family picnic or a day fishing with the boys. There is a nice waterfall and beautiful scenery to take in if you are just looking to walk around and enjoy nature!
LEMOINES POINT
Lemoines Point is another beautiful area with numerous hiking trails and picturesque views of amazing plants and animals. Great place to take the kids for a nice day learning about plants and animals as well as getting in touch with nature!
CONFEDERATION BASIN
This is where Canada all started the centre of Canada's first Capitol city! With a beautiful view of Lake Ontario and our historic city hall. Such a lively place in the summer time bustling with tourist and locals. There are numerous vendors just around the park and the 1000 islands poker run can be seen from the shore!
CULINARY STOPS
Kingston is home to many different restaurants one of the highest number per capita in Ontario. They range from low end to super high end eats! The Iron Duke on Wellington is a great place for a pint and nice pub food, or you could stop at Tango for tapas and cocktails. Swing by The Copper Penny for some of their famous chicken salt fries and then stop by CaCao 70 for a decadent chocolate dessert. The Mansion and The Toucan are great places to watch some live music as well.
