Hello everyone. I thought id share the story of how i got into crypto.

I think it was back in 2012 when there was a big buzz about bitcoin. One of my friends tried to convince me to buy one and the price was about 300 pounds. I ummed and ahhed about it. The fomo was intense and it was stressing me out even just deciding whether to get one or not. In the end i decided to call my father and ask him for advice, he said "son you don't get money for nothing" so i decided to just forget about it and then eventually went on a mad boat buying spree.

Fast forward to 2017 and I was working nights as a dishwasher earning the most i ever had in my life and playing wow in my spare time.  I saw bitcoin on the news at it was 4300! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! One of my guildies had actually enough btc to just play wow all day not work and well i thought why not me too. So i just ploughed my money into bitcoin, then litecoin, then eth before i started getting into degenerate and unprofitable trading. I was the quintessential pink wojack my eyes burning red from tierdness and my heart pounding from the white monster zero ultra flipping coins i saw on /biz/ in between cycles on the dishwasher. My coworkers thought i was mad but i would show them. I also invested 600 good boy points into the etheremon ponzi and got absolutely fucking jousted by that too.

I can remember stumbling upon link and thinking damn that's a good idea connecting the real world to the blockchain.  I bought my first thousand and then immediately got dumped on lol i could just imagine a smug neet sat their comfy in his chair laughing at me and i hated him. Then of course shortly after i was 20 percent up and i thought of him more fondly. The rank system was ingenious and made me want to get more. By about January I concentrated my portfolio into three coins, chainlink, cardano & funfair. Then the whole market shit itself and i was poor again.

At this point i moved from /biz/ to twitter to join the nascent link community. After quitting my night job because it was quite literally driving me insane and ruining my health i did a bit of laboring and link pilled the redditor i worked with.  Eventually i just went all in on link and just gave up even trying to trade just buying link every week. I moved into a pub and worked as a bartender whilst stacking cubes, i got a job in an agency where i did all sorts from kitchen porter to bartender, being shipped all across the country to help at events. 

Anyway thats it for now more tomorrow lol,
