Using Web3 can be a real headache. The right wallet, the right network, the token for gas fees, the signatures… You came to make a payment and ended up taking a blockchain course. 😅

But what wears us out could be much easier for software to handle.

That’s an idea Learn With Hatty explores in this article: AI agents could become major users of an infrastructure built by humans.

And it connects with what I’m thinking about for my project. Imagine an agent finding the information you need, checking the price, and buying it within a budget you’ve approved. You get the result without dealing with all the payment mechanics.

But delegating a task doesn’t mean handing over a blank check.

I’d like to give that agent a “digital collar”: an independent safeguard that checks its actions, blocks unauthorized operations, and can suspend its access.

Over budget? Payment declined. Sending a file without permission? Blocked, with an alert. And crucially, the agent wouldn’t be able to change those limits itself. Otherwise, we might as well leave it a little note saying, “Please behave.” 😅

That control would need to kick in before the action happens. Stopping an agent after a payment won’t bring the money back.

Maybe agents will make Web3 more accessible. But to trust them, I want to understand what they’re doing and be able to take back control.
