Crypto Rebound Strengthens: Bitcoin and Ethereum Lead the Rally

By Kenzoo | Kanza Blog | 23 Aug 2025

Crypto market rally by dovish remarks by Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell signifying money policy easing. Crypto Fear & Greed Index jumped up from neutral to greedy (60) today, indicating revived appetite amongst investors for risk assets.

Bitcoin (BTC) rallied some 5% higher to breach the $117,300 mark, liquidating short positions that were worth $379.88 million. Elsewhere, Ethereum (ETH) surged over 11% to $4,851, with the cryptocurrency drawing nearer to its all-time high set back in 2021. After weeks of consolidation, these gains indicate that the market has begun its trek into an optimistic phase.

Secondly, the rebound was complemented with institutional inflows of $3.75 billion for the week. For Ethereum alone, the figure stood at $2.87 billion. For a more thriller, word has it that Mingcheng Group of Hong Kong is set to buy bitcoins worth $483 million, proving that private interests in digital assets continue.

Then, besides crypto, the gains spilled over into crypto-related stocks on the U.S. markets: Coinbase was up 6%, Strategy was nearly up 65%, and bitcoin miners like CleanSpark and Riot Platforms saw gains between 5 and 9 in the stock market. This shows us that some effect was spilling over from the crypto rally into traditional equity markets related to these digital assets.

In sentiment terms, the situation went from fear to greed, indicating renewed confidence and maybe the start of a Nando-obsessed cycle for retail investors.

Should Bitcoin maintain its position above $115,000-$116,000 and breach $120,000, while ETH holds up its performance in the $4,400-$4,500 range, one can predict a further rally in the crypto market on the back of such robust capital flows and anticipation of relaxed monetary policies.
