A year ago COVID 19 was running rampant across the globe. Beyond infecting hundreds of millions with millions killed either directly by this disease or for events/issues that arose from the disease. When Former President Trump first dropped the idea of a Chinese lab in Wuhan leaking the virus it was quickly and universally panned and ridiculed. Every so often though someone with some credibility would make a comment not necessarily supporting the theory but just stating to not write it off.
Quickly however this idea was labeled a conspiracy and something that was only extreme right-wing individuals would believe. When the world started to really investigate China for the way that they handled the origins of COVID China fought back even at one point blaming the US military for releasing it. While China's theories rapidly fell apart as they tried to blame other countries for it China still appeared hesitant to release the raw inital data.
When the World Health Organization or WHO formed an investigation team from the beginning China did all they could to hold up the investigation. Some of the investigators were initially denied entrance into China and then once they were no one was able to ever get their hands on the RAW data of the initial outbreak. When the report finally came out it was not even Former President Trump that had to come out and ridicule it rather the scientific community did and countries came out and did. The biggest of these countries that is still in a tit for tat with China is Australia.
When Former President Trump lost his reelection campaign I was one who believed that maybe this would just be put behind us and the world and US could move forward and not only heal but unite. Then the intel reports began to come out about the Chinese coverup with the lab in Wuhan. Now it has honestly reached the point that it almost seems like a made-up fairy tale. The two biggest people/organizations that have come out with statements about it publically are now Dr. Scott Gottlieb and British Intelligence.
The main issue that has yet to be figured out is pretty basic when it comes to disease. Where did it come from? We know the area however the issue is no animals have been definitely linked to being the carrier of COVID-19. Making matters worse for China is that 3 workers from the Wuhan lab had contracted COVID-19 symptoms in November while working for the lab. China hid this from WHO and the world and that in itself is a massive issue.
It might not ever be known if it was a leak though however, it would be safe to start to heavily assume it if no other links can be found. When the lab leak essay came out earlier this month it forced those who championed one idea without full scientific proof to reevaluate what they had been saying. Since the leak, Dr. Fauci and President Biden have been forced to admit they cannot eliminate it and it could have merit. If this comes to be more and more accepted it will be detrimental to the world. Hundreds of millions will be forced to see their governments paraded "proof" without actually having it. Trust in governments worldwide could fall leading to a ton of unrest.
