When you reach that age when doors close on working life, you realize many others open—provided you keep your mind open and don’t just lie on the sofa watching TV or head to the bar. You can walk, look, observe, and learn many things you hadn’t noticed before: watching children play in the park, the changing seasons, the small details of everyday life.
If you are a technology enthusiast like me and have a restless mind, you can do many more things. I have completely changed the meaning of my life. At my age, I can no longer run marathons, but I can raise my voice against many injustices, and I have found a way I love to do it: writing articles and books.
Moreover, I have set up a low-cost workstation: I found a second-hand laptop, installed Linux, Scribus (an open-source layout program), and OnlyOffice, also open source. And here I am, with my office costing almost 0 €, doing my daily work. Instead of lying down or spending time at the bar, this is my great work: discovering new things every day.
If you also have a restless mind, join me. We will no longer be a single voice; when we are many, they will finally hear us. We are one step away from achieving it.
