There comes a moment in life when you realize something simple, but powerful:
Not everyone deserves your time.
We grow up thinking we must care, must stay, must understand, must tolerate. Especially with family.
But reality teaches something different.
Some people don’t build.
They don’t give.
They don’t bring peace.
They take.
They drain.
They complicate everything.
And the worst part?
We keep giving them time.
Thinking about them.
Trying to understand them.
Trying to fix something that was never meant to be fixed.
But one day, something changes.
You stop.
And you see clearly:
Time is your most valuable asset.
Money comes and goes.
Opportunities come and go.
But time… never comes back.
So you make a decision.
In my language, Catalan, we say it clearly:
“No es mereixen ni un segon.”
(They don’t deserve even one second.)
And then, you add the final truth, the one that sets you truly free:
“ME LA BUFA!”
It means: I don’t care.
It means your greed, your noise, and your judgment no longer reach me.
It means I’m moving on, and I’m doing it with a smile.
Because when you stop giving time to what drains you,
you start giving it to what builds you.
Your ideas.
Your work.
Your path.
Your life.
Some people call it cold.
I call it clarity.
And once you reach that point…
you don’t go back.
