Week In Review (12.6-12.12)

Hello everyone and welcome back.  Time for another Week In Review, a short recap of everything and anything I have been up to in the space this past week.  In a way this has become almost therapeutic in the chaos that can be when it comes to blockchain and crypto, and I would especially like to thank all those that have dove into whatever parts of these have appealed to you over the last few weeks and taken the time to comment below.  Really nice when earnest interest in the comments is present and quite uplifting in terms of validation in the time it takes to put these together.  With the pleasantries out of the way then, let's dive in into it below!

Monday Morning Chill

Monday’s are always a great to day to chill, and sometimes you just gotta touch base with those and the the things you love most.  It might just be the chillest morning you’ll have all week, and what better way to spend it than w/ the UpLifters?!? As this was the first week of the month, I dove into all that has been going on with Atomic Hub and the WAX blockchain recently with Jona.

Tech Talk on a Tuesday with liquiid

Tech Talk on a Tuesday was the first of Corey and my themed Tuesday shows.  As the name suggests, besides quite possibly being the best named tech show on the Internet, it is our attempt to bring to the the fore those in the space of a highly technical caliber to connect with all those users and abusers of that tech which they work so hard to create.

For this episode we dove into it with liquiid, a next generation software development platform building SDKs for any developer that loves gaming. Their games exist on-chain, allowing for the creation, collection and distribution of digital assets within the games themselves. We got an inside look at the liquiid game and discussed many concepts related to blockchain gaming and more.

Journeys Through The Uplift World is a series dedicated to communities or individuals doing their thing with us in the metaverse.  More often than not, these episodes involve a mixture of talented in metaverse builds and run down of what the guests do in the space or lfe beyond The Uplift.  In this particular episode I welcomed Matt, founder of The Drop Bears Tree Diving Club, and Small Town Cowboy, Genesis Drop Bears Island Clubhouse builder to talk all things about the project and what they are doing The Uplift World Metaverse.

Roundtable Live: Taking Back EOS

This week we were joined by Chaney Moore and Brandon Lovejoy to discuss all the things happening in EOS right now regarding the freeze and negotiations of Block One's unvested token transfers by the EOS Block Producers.

The Throwback Loop

As previously mentioned, I thought it would be interesting to revisit an article curated in the past.  It should go without saying that not everything may in these pieces may still hold true, but for me it is an important part of my journey in being where I am today in this space and I’d like to think that others may find this of interest as well.

This past week has been rather hectic with so much going on in the space, the world, and real life.  Of all my passions, still one of my favorite things to do is to be able to find the time to learn about our origins as a civilization, for it's pretty hard to know where one should be focused on going without being at the very least able to process where we as individuals and society have come from.  For this one then, although I am not what you may call a religious person, living where I do there is some semblance of unity within the underlying fabric of society to two foundational religions, one of which I wrote briefly about back in the day below.

And that dear ladies and gentlemen wraps up this edition of Week In Review.  Don’t fret though, cause by now those who are avidly following these posts know that we will pick it up next week with many things both revamped and completely new.

Until that time again then, hopes that you all will be present and enjoy all the positives of this fragile existence we call life.
