The OG Faucet.
Back in the day there used to be a Bitcoin Faucet which gave away 5 BTC for solving a Captcha. This is where the idea of Crypto tipping comes from. The whole point is to stack a little Crypto while doing something that you enjoy, maybe even make some serious money if the Crypto you're getting tipped does well during the 'Bull Market'.
The Problem.
I understand USDC is technically a Cryptocurrency, but it's not really, it is in fact a Dollar. It does not move in value like Crypto does, and this is the problem for me personally. I would rather Publish0x choose a Crypto that goes up and down in price with the markets, that way I can stack during the Bear Markets.
Possible Solutions.
Option 1: Publish0x launches their own Crypto.
Plus points.
There has never been a softer regulatory stance toward Crypto than there is right now.
They could give themselves an allocation (say 30%) and then commit 50% (or whatever they spend right now) of ad revenue toward token buy backs, this would keep their treasury topped up for tips as well as providing buying pressure to stop the token continually dropping in price.
Could make a large supply so you get tipped whole coins rather than fractions.
Down sides.
Regulation could change in the future which could lead to legal troubles.
Not sure if ad revenue alone would be enough buy pressure if there is no other reason to buy the Crypto.
Option 2: Pepecoin
Plus points.
Fully distributed.
On Ethereum so compatible with everyone's wallet.
Very large supply so would be tipped 100's or even 1000's per post.
Well known Crypto and has a massive following which makes for massive swings in Bull Market (x10 in last cycle).
Down sides.
Not everyone is a fan of memecoins.
Publish0x would have to market buy a stack before moving to tipping it as it is fully distributed.
It doesn't have to be either of options I've mentioned, these are just ideas. Let me know which coin you'd like them to switch to or even if you'd prefer to stay with USDC.
